Founded in 1801, Woodstock Academy is an independent, co-educational, college preparatory high school, grades 9-12, located in the historic, northeastern Connecticut town of Woodstock; 1 hour from Boston and 3 hours from New York City. This historic campus is committed to the belief that global diversity and global awareness add value to a school community and better prepare students for both the challenges and the opportunities of the 21st century.

Student involvement in extracurricular activities is vital to success at Woodstock Academy. Active participation outside of the classroom helps build community, creates well-rounded students, and develops interpersonal and communication skills. Learning is not limited to academics, but includes learning that takes place apart from the rigors of study: on the athletic fields, on the stage, and during play and leisure with other students. Woodstock Academy’s extensive music and visual and performing arts programs are second to none.

A historic traditional campus in New England with an award-winning arts program. Welcome to Woodstock Academy!
