Academy at the Lakes is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational, college preparatory day and boarding school. It has a superb college-counseling program to prepare students for the next level of education, and its students, on average, are accepted by their first choice colleges. Its college-counseling program aims to find each student the very best match: academically, socially and financially. Its academic program offers students a wide range of courses so that each is presented with appropriate challenge. To compliment its strong academic program, this school offers student an excellent fine-arts program and exceptional sports teams, thereby offering something for every student.

A small academically-oriented school set in a quaint lakeside campus in a safe Tampa suburb - welcome to Academy at the Lakes!

Dormitories and School Residence

Academy houses are located in local, gated communities with luxury accommodations including tennis courts and swimming pools and close proximity to the school. The houses are traditional American single family homes featuring commons areas such as the living room and kitchen, bedrooms (approximately 2 kids to a room), and spacious bathrooms. Some of the real perks to life in an Academy dorm is that meals are all home cooked and served in the house, not in a cafeteria, and if the students in a house want to go somewhere it's very easy to plan since each house has its own van and housemaster.

Academic and Sport Facilities

Football, Cross Country, Golf, Swimming, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Tennis, Track, Volleyball, and Cheerleading are among the athletic programs offered by the Academy. Tampa's beautiful weather allows students to take advantage of many outdoor activities!
